About

I am a cognitive psychology researcher primarily interested in studying how we form new habits and how we might change the rate of habit formation through different strategies. My other interests include behavior change, altitude adaptation, implicit learning, skill learning, and mental workload.

My blog is dedicated to anything related to science and statistics, especially giving gentle introductions to topics that are hard to learn. I have used R extensively and learned a variety of tech and scientific skills throughout my career. I intend to write gentle introductions to these topics to share what I have learned. My professional and personal interests (i.e. climbing, training, travel, statistics) share overlap so I will share posts related to them as well.

I work as a researcher and freelance science consultant. A few of my mentors and collaborators include Patrick McKnight, Kevin Schmidt, Michael Waltrip, Sam Monfort, Amanda Hardwood, Tyler Shaw, and Todd Kashdan.
